We are looking for a self-starter with strong analytics experience who can work on complex business problems, help provide actionable recommendations in a structured and accurate manner. As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in the development of key business metrics, reports and insights using data visualization, as required.
The Business Analyst will also own Production Planning to ensure our Fulfilment Centres have robust and cost optimal labor plans while constantly innovating in a number of areas aimed at improving our customers’ experience. You will work with stakeholders and data sources to recommend on-going hourly staffing plans and shift structures in all of our Fulfillment Centers. We are looking for a passionate, analytical and technical person who will relentlessly dive deep, improving the accuracy and efficiency of the planning process.
- Identify, develop and execute data analysis to uncover areas of business opportunities.
- Learn and understand the broad range of data resources and develop knowledge of how, when and which data sources to use.
- Deep dive into massive data sets to answer key business questions using SQL, MS Excel and data analytics tools.
- Diving deep to fully understand report architecture and metric definitions, debugging report issues and unblocking workflows.
- Present written recommendations and insights to key stakeholders.
- Engage with leadership and diversified stakeholder groups to understand their analytical needs and recommend Business intelligence solutions.
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing performance metrics, reports, analysis, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.
- Standardize data and report consumption across all customer groups.
- Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
- Work with data engineering, machine learning and software development teams to enable the appropriate capture and storage of key data points.
- Supporting with input forecasting using trend analysis and statistical modeling to drive decision making.
- Be responsible for the Production Planning as well as cost and service optimization.
- Building short-/medium- and long-term operational plans to minimize variable costs associated with staffing.
- Analyzing and solving business problems with a focus on understanding data deviations, their root causes, and driving forward-looking opportunities.
- Communicating complex analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing.
- Participate in global operational and production planning initiatives and project rollouts to cater to growing business needs.
- Propose, develop and promote process improvement and standardization across all sites in the network.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related analytical field or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in Excel, including advanced skills with VBA, pivot tables, array functions, and power pivots.
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, to present and communicate insights effectively.
- Proven experience in defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw meaningful business insights.
- Strong background in quantitative analyses, with the ability to work with complex datasets and derive actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Advanced skills in Excel and Access, including the ability to create and maintain complex databases.
- Expertise in using Power BI and Tableau for data analysis and reporting, including developing interactive dashboards.
